   I'm so glad i found ur blog, its so informative and entertaining. I started reading it when i wanted to do some research about the medical field. My boyfriend was a bio major (were in undergrad) I dated him for a year and he wants to be a surgeon one day. But unfortunately he broke up with me the weekend before the new semester started. (its been two weeks almost we have broken up). His entire reason to why he ended the relationship was because he wanted to concentrate 150% on his classes this semester and he said no one persues relationships during med school. I'm extremely heart broken, and as a med student urself, i was wondering if this is true. I mean i know it takes dedication and its really tough but, i wanted your opinion. This sucks all too much for me. Lol :)

Cara, my name is Ajay and I just wanted to tell you that I find your blogspace witty, informative, and most importantly, genuine. Many people have told me about the trials and tribulations of medical school and they have mostly put a negative spin to it. Its refreshing to hear a person with a matter-of-fact attitude that also has positive remarks about medical school. My mother, who is a family physician, invited a third-year medical student on one of her clerkships over for dinner in May and I learned a lot from her, including prepping for medical school courses by reading content sponsored by Lippincott, Williams, and Wilkins. Does that company sound familiar to you? I was also curious about your SAT score, undergrad GPA, and overall MCAT score. I am currently going to be a third-year college student. I had a 1460 SAT score and currently have a 3.8 GPA. Is that okay? I just wanted to know how I measured up against a bright intellectual such as yourself. You don't have to disclose your quantitative scores on your space; in fact, I would prefer if you e-mailed me back at the above referenced e-mail address: axnst2@mail.francis.edu. By the way, can you also tell me how you narrowed down your list of schools that you went to and your current school so that I may follow a similar strategy. P.S. Regarding neuroscience, I have to say that you handled the subject well, as far as I can tell from your blog. The third-year student that I talked to said she absolutely hated that subject. She was brilliant too! She was actually part of an accelerated six-year medical program...so you should know that "hate" is the general consensus when medical students talk about neuroscience.

I love your site!  I found it when it was featured on the myspaces deal on MSN. com.  I now check it regularly (I was so bored while you were away).  I too am grumpy and from Wyoming.  I've always wanted to get into the medical field (I just passed my EMT-B exam) and I enjoy your sense of humor.  Anyway, just wanted to say hi!

You have such a nice space, very informative for all of us that are interested in one day going to medical school. I wanted to ask u for a favor though, i am taking an Gross Anatomy Class this summer, and my friend Sonia (one of ur space friend) showed me once a site that you recommended her that showed dissections and had quizzes with the different parts, very detailed. As you know, anatomy is a very brain consuming class, lol, and i need all the help and all the books, and all the sources I can get, so if you still have that site address i would really appreciate it.
